Quiz Night at Asylum Justice

Asylum Justice are happy to announce that we will be taking part in this year's Great Legal Quiz and invite you to join. Despite what the name says, the questions will not be of the legal variety and will instead be like your regular pub quiz. The Great Legal Quiz is a fantastic way to raise funds for legal services at the forefront of providing specialist advice to the most vulnerable in society. Advice that they would be unable to receive if it were not for charities such as Asylum Justice. Enjoy a wonderful social event accompanied by delicious food cooked by Steen the chef. Asylum Justice at the 2018 Cardiff Legal Walk

Intrepid trustees, volunteers and staff members have signed up to complete the 10k Cardiff Legal Walk on 27th September to raise funds for Asylum Justice. Last year we raised over £1000 to help Asylum Justice continue to provide advice and free legal support to some of the most vulnerable in our community. Dr Barbara Harrell-Bond OBE

The trustees, employees, volunteers and beneficiaries of Asylum Justice would like to send our deepest condolences to the family of our patron Dr. Barbara Harrell-Bond OBE, who passed away on 11th July 2018.  Her dedication to the rights of refugees is reflected in the legacy she leaves behind. Founder of the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford, Dr. Harrell-Bond went on the focus on the Global South, establishing several projects, programmes and networks including AMERA International, which was established to provide legal aid to refugees. Lloyds TSB Foundation Grant Received

We are delighted to announce that Lloyds TSB have given us a three year grant. This will be used to fund a part-time office and volunteer co-ordinator, rent and rates, IT, stationery and volunteer training costs.

Easter Monday Drop-in closure

How Family Reunion Policy Affects People in Wales

Current family reunion rules place huge barriers on which family members of refugees settled in the UK are allowed to reunite within the UK. For many families who have already experienced untold horrors, this enforced separation is heartbreaking and significantly adds to suffering. On Friday 16th March 2018,  MPs will vote on the Family Reunion Bill that would make vital changes needed to allow more refugee families, torn apart by war and persecution, to be reunited in safety in the UK.  Help us make sure as many MPs as possible take this opportunity by turning up to parliament that day and supporting this Bill.
