Asylum Justice Trustees to participate in Legal Walks to raise funds

Some of Asylum Justice's Trustees will be participating in Reaching Justice Wales: Cyrraedd Cyfiawnder Cymru's (RJW)  Cardiff Legal Walk organised with support from the Access to Justice Foundation. For the poorest and the most vulnerable people in our community, access to justice is out of reach. Free legal advice makes a huge different to their lives. The recession has increased poverty and reduced support services. Meanwhile, funding for advice services has reduced; particularly since the 2013 removal of much of legal aid for humanitarian or social welfare legal advice. Celebrate Refugee Week with us!

Join Asylum Justice to celebrate Refugee Week on Friday June 30th 6:30pm. We're hosting a two-course dinner and a movie, all for £12.50. You are very welcome to bring your own wine and plenty of friends. The two course dinner will consist of a Kenyan inspired menu with food cooked with help from local Cardiff refugees. The movie “Warehoused” gives an intimate look at the plight long-term refugees face worldwide, by exploring life in Dadaab, Kenya, one of the largest refugee camps in the world.
